Thanks to Putin’s puppet’s malignant narcissism

It was better than any GRU Internet Research Agency algorithms,

They just reposted HIM.

He hacked American racism

With birtherism,

A lifelong democrat,

He changed his party affiliation at sixty-two,

When America elected its only black president,

He is possessed by jealousy, Beelzebub and his Queen’s neighbor,

Archie Bunker,

 

He’s an evil spirit,

I jokingly labeled him “Orange Satan,”

Noting that Damien Thorn and Donald Trump,

Have the same number of letters in each name,

And start with the same consonants.

I have another dilemma:

So-called “sovereign citizens.”

Who stood with Cliven Bundy and his relatives,

Armed against the Bureau of Land Management,

The other acronym for “BLM” before Trayvon Martin,

I’m curious why they’re not up in arms,

About Saudi Arabia’s refusal to pump more oil,

Sending the price of gas soaring,

Sending groceries through the roof,

Sending stocks tumbling,

All because the “House of Saud” has a preference,

To the Republicans in the midterm elections,

We might see unleaded get to $7:00 per gallon,

It’s almost like we don’t have a sovereign democratic republic.

 

Vladimir Putin has cut off oil to Europe,

Particularly Poland,

Waiting out the made for TikTok heroics

Of Zelensky, the EU, NATO, and the US,

Because he’s betting that the inconvenience, stress,

Plus, as a society, we’re attention deficit,

He doesn’t care how many Russian generals,

Or soldiers buy it,

As in, “pushing up daisies,”

It’s still a “special military operation,”

In Ukraine,

Which he doesn’t consider a nation,

By him calling it a war would mean mobilization,

Of Russian conscripts,

Young Russians have gotten the hell out of there,

Fleeing [to] Eastern Europe,

Thus making the median age in eleven time zones equivalent to Fox News,

 

Putin,

The Saudis,

Venezuelans,

The nations of OPEC,

 

Play this game:

They control the world population with

Scarcity,

And the fears that come with that reality,

 

Think about it:

 

Would you stay in a job you didn’t like if we had universal healthcare or paid-for college?

 

Would our groceries be expensive,

If every home and apartment had solar panels?

Could they differentiate neighborhoods based on property values?

Thus de facto re-segregating schools and resources?

How could the grocers

At HEB, Stop n Shop, and Harris Teeter,

Justify the high price of eggs delivered by a battery-operated 18-wheeler piloted by a drone controlled by Alexa or Siri?

 

What if instead of supermarkets,

We had vegetables grown in vertical victory gardens?

 

What if we had corner vegan restaurants and butcher marts?

 

It would reduce the need for Ukraine,

To be the planet’s breadbasket,

A role they’ve had

Since antiquity,

 

Every human society,

Has kings & queens, billionaires, emperors, oligarchs, potentates, and sheiks,

Controlling the levers of commerce,

Where people live,

And what’s said about them,

Mark Zuckerberg owns Facebook (or whatever “Meta” is),

There is profit,

How long will we let the wealthy pimp us?

When are we going to recognize billionaires and oligarchs as grand theft artists?

 

From Bildeberg to Trilateralists,

Parliament to Congress,

The filibuster in the Senate,

Republicans, either in the majority

Or the minority

Represents 41,549,808 fewer people than Democrats,*

They’ve shown us their kryptonite,

The grand theft artists fear “too much democracy,”

For this midterm,

And EVERY election,

As was Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s threatened kidnapping, trial, and killing,

Each coup attempt was answered with impotent silence,

It seems like we’re the fever dreams of a pulp fiction novelist,

 

Or a Master Spy and KGB agent,

Insisting his phone calls have no official government readout of what’s said,

Exploiting the pettiness of his “useful idiot,”

Holding something stronger over him than pee-pee tapes,

Maybe it’s a promise of being an actual billionaire, first-rate,

Not a caricature of the one he played,

Who is now in complete psychotic,

Nuclear meltdown over his future legal fates,

We are here because the aforementioned KGB agent,

Petitioned his useful orange gremlin,

That astroturfed the Tea Party,

Dehumanizing fellow Americans into pedophilic cannibals,

We need to rethink the wisdom

January 6, 2021,

Captain Crazy Pants told his minions: “come to the Capitol: it will be WILD,” and “we love you; go home,”

After gleefully watching them ransack,

The seat of his own government,

 

After allowing coronavirus to ravage,

His nation’s citizens,

He’s killing at a rate

Of one-point-five 9/11s daily,

Making Osama Bin Laden terrorist second-rate,

 

We’re a nation fearful of our neighbors,

Whether next door or at the Capitol,

We hold onto hopes by our fingernails,

Virtually viewing The Inauguration,

 

The sad part is, we’ve already changed,

We will defeat this pandemic,

But what we knew as “normal” discourse,

I’m afraid without rebuilding the arts, critical thinking, addressing income inequality and police disparity; science, trust, and truth,

 

There’s no going back to it: for real progress, we can’t.

Civics morphed to “Social Studies,”

Evolutionary Biology to “Creation Pseudoscience,”

Teach “American exceptionalism” and “Manifest Destiny,” not our country’s actual history,

Was always the “break glass” scheme in case of expanded democracy overwhelmingly demanded by marginalized groups?

 

Perspective:

Am I the only one who feels our historical poetry of this nation’s origins amounts to four centuries of self-gaslighting that we call “American exceptionalism?”

 

Did climate change,

Income inequality pointed out since Occupy Wall Street,

Science denialism,

Anti vaxxing,

Tribalism,

The pandemic,

And January 6, 2021, rip the scales off our eyes and REVEAL we’re NOT

E Pluribus Unum?

 

A suggestion:

After 400 years of bullshitting,

The myriad threats to the human species’ existence,

If you want E Pluribus Unum,

TRY teaching Civics instead of Social Studies,

If you want rational citizens,

TRY teaching Science instead of fantasies,

Give the tools of the citizenry to the citizens,

Maybe START trying democracy - rule of the people - for ONCE

Isn’t that better than waiting for Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson, and Elon Musk to save us?

Steve Scalise once described himself as “David Duke without the baggage.”

David Duke was a grand dragon and avowed white supremacist.

Fooled by Ron Stallworth in the book and movie “Black Klansman.”

Any supremacy is anathema to democracy.

 

It is interesting that Steve Scalise, the minority whip counter on the Republican side of the House, is urging his colleagues to vote NO on holding his br’er fascist, Steve Bannon, in criminal contempt of Congress,

In allegiance to a demagogue that lost the 2020 election, the Senate, and the House,

 

If the rule of law is subject to “situational nihilism.”

Then the law as we thought we knew it is essentially moot.

Only nine Republicans in the House followed The Constitution to hold Bannon in contempt of Congress with all of the Democrats,

Meaning all the Republicans who voted against it are in contempt of their [own] office,

 

Now, “Robert Lewis, Rufus, and Frog” along with “Billy Bob, Cooter, and Skeeter” will all declare themselves Republicans and ignore any subpoenas sent to them,

Reduced to a notion by the man whose publicly stated aim was to “deconstruct the administrative state.”

Good luck running courts large and small across the nation.

Or, for that matter: the United States.

 

‘Murica is open to conspiracy theories,

Because its citizens have been lied to:

 

The overthrow of Mohammad Mossadegh and the installation of the Shah by the CIA and MI6 in 1953,

Nationalizing oil reserves gained the ire of the intelligence services and British Petroleum,

Follow that with “I’m not a crook” Richard Nixon, “we’re not selling arms for hostages” Ronald Reagan, it’s no wonder trust in institutions other than the military is at an all-time low.

 

Roger Ailes and Rush Limbaugh appealed to fellow jowl-faced fascists that consider Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion an existential crisis,

 

As their impish clone, Tucker Carlson parrots “replacement theory,”

 

“Nature abhors a vacuum,” and provocateurs like Alex Jones are more than happy to fill the trust void.

 

Add to that the 30,000+ COVFEFE whoppers of the last Oval Office occupant and the death toll his lies bore.

At least Brazil is considering holding Jair Bolsonaro responsible for crimes against humanity for 100,000+ dead. Our body count is higher. “U-S-A!” “U-S-A!”

 

Senator Angus King has evolved on the filibuster. He’s willing to change the rules so voting rights can get passed.

However, the dragon reared its head to “conserve” the status quo of white supremacy, maintaining this Jim Crow relic.

Senator Tim Scott (“America is not racist”) needs a new mirror and an active human soul to inhabit his skin bag.

 

To quote a 2020 tweet from someone named Beau Willimon, succinctly comparing Capitalism, Socialism, Authoritarianism, and Democracy:

They want to reduce all of us,

To old world “lords and serfs,”

Paupers begging for alms,

Children laborers,

More like “The Hunger Games” than the Declaration of Independence!

 

Our democracy can no longer afford to ride this leviathan and continue to exist.

 

Knowing that their heads will blow up like teenage zits,

The last line is for religious hypocrites,
