The framework for our current distress,

You can’t let government work for American citizens.

 

Gaslight them instead with the following:

Feminazis,

Minorities,

Immigrants,

The LGBT,

Shutdowns and debt ceilings,

 

The causes of social ills are a lack of “family values” and “personal responsibility,”

After barely getting a House majority in a midterm that was supposed to favor them,

They turned the mundane politics of electing a Speaker into a fiasco,

I’ve run out of dental floss for the popcorn I’ve eaten,

 

If THIS is how the 118th Congress is going,

The next two years will not be fun viewing,

Benghazi 2.0, AKA the laptop obsession AKA Hunter Biden,

The impeachment trial of his dad,

President Joseph Robinette Biden,

Followed by

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas,

Dr. Anthony Fauci,

The January 6 Committee,

And anyone with the letter (D) by their name who’s breathing,

Especially after my Frat brother, Hakeem Jeffries, gave them a new appreciation for their “ABCs.”

 

We haven’t gotten to September when we must raise the debt ceiling,

Or in “Taliban 20” psychotic thinking,

An excellent time to hold the nation and the planet hostage,

 

Kevin McCarthy starts by being the weakest Speaker in US history,

Having garnered 216 votes after 14 rounds of public bleeding,

He gave up the store and got nothing.

Two terrorists voted “present,” lowering the number needed,

And giving the extremists everything they wished for, and then some more,

Including the ability of ONE member to call a “No confidence” vote on the House floor and REMOVE him as Speaker!

 

This means that he’s on track to be the shortest serving,

Kev just wanted the title and the trappings,

Not the responsibility,

Of being third in line for the presidency,

 

They want him there because they know he’s weak,

The worst thing you can do is appease bullies,

You would think we would have learned that after January 6,

The second anniversary of the insurrection as I write this,

 

I worry about January 6, 2025,

When the antebellum electoral votes are brought in Congress,

Overseen by the Speaker of the House and the Vice President,

What will “Kev the spineless” (IF he’s there) do if HIS party doesn’t win?

Will he follow his duties outlined by The Constitution?

I have my doubts as I scribe my pen,

If Republicans win, possibly we won’t have an incident,

 

But recently, the American Taliban had the magnetometers removed from congressional entrances,

And scaled back security measures instituted after the insurrection,

Ensuring a green light for another one,

Because if you don’t punish an attempted overthrow severely,

The first one was practice!

 

In season 2 of the Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale,”

Based on Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel,

The “Sons of Jacob” stormed the Capitol and slaughtered Congress.

The terrorists [then] formed the “Republic of Gilead,”

Ripping away the bodily autonomy of women,

Making them unwilling broodmares for the fascist regime that they created,

They called themselves Commanders,

And, in a fortnight of darkness and terror,

We had January 6,

Oath Keepers and Proud Boys “stand back and stand by” brown shirts,

We had 50 years of precedent, and bodily autonomy ripped away from women by the former Supreme Court,

Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis ran their states as open fascists,

High deaths from COVID, gun massacres, collapsing infrastructure,

Both WON re-election and are planning to run for president!

They’re not worried about Donald Trump,

He’s going to be busy dodging indictments like draft notices,

They’re not concerned about recovering the Grand Old Party,

They want to ride this dragon of American fascism to victory and absolute power.

 

Canadian poet Margaret Atwood,

Said American Puritans inspired her framework,

Who slaughtered Quakers for the “sin” of opposing slavery,

Puritans like John Winthrop,

His famous “shining city on a hill.”

Quoted by Presidents Obama and Reagan,

It was simply a primitive version of gaslighting,

The first audience of conquest is your nation’s citizens.

 

“He’s a chaos candidate, and he’ll be a chaos president!”

 

JEB Bush spoke no truer words,

Who helped his brother George cheat into office,

Florida “Brooks Brothers rioters” as proto-fascists,

Also led by Roger Stone in the year 2000,

W’s three defense lawyers on the ground in Florida in 2000:

Chief Justice John Roberts,

Brett Kavanaugh,

And Amy Coney Barrett,

Who is part of a cult called “People of Praise,”

And served as a Handmaid!

We are at the apex of the confluence,

Of the nastiness of Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich,

Of Lewis Powell, Ronald Reagan, and the Koch brothers’ machinations,

 

Reagan was the first to say, “make America great again.”

The Ku Klux Klan said “America First” in the early 20th-century opposition to Catholic immigrants before that,

Actors, Comedians, Poets, and Musicians,

 

We are not [just] artists,

We are Prophets Of Eternal Truths,

Seers of histories yet written,

We are trying to educate, entertain and warn you,

Before what we take for granted is suddenly lost,

We are the angels of peace and order,

Kev, Orange Satan, and the “Taliban 20” are agents of evil and chaos!

 

Democracy still matters!

It means “rule of the people,” not fascist oligarchs!
