Cult...

When asked how fascism starts, philosopher Bertrand Russell said:

“First, they fascinate the fools. Then, they muzzle the intelligent.”

They never use facts and reality to justify their opinions; they use conspiracy theories to justify their “alternative facts!”

Because just wearing the red hats wasn't enough to convince the rest of us that they live in Arkham Asylum for the Criminality Insane.

They went from “I’d rather be red than Democrat,” pushing fealty to fascist Russia,

To now wearing Adult Depends in public ON purpose!

(We can all be thankful that they haven’t, like January 6, thought to fill them - yet!)

To recap:

They went from [rather being] Russian to championing incontinence!

Open rebellion and insurrection are now the hallmarks of “patriotism?”

Because the patriarchy astroturfing them is losing its gaslighting grip on society and shaping reality.

American oligarchs are panicking because they may have to pay the taxes they’ve been stealing and share resources!

The Dow Jones average crossed 40,000,

Unemployment hasn’t been this low since the early 1970s,

But that’s a complete disaster for oligarchy,

Because without high unemployment rates, starvation, inflation, poverty, and anarchy,

The self-proclaimed “masters of the universe” aren’t in control of ANYTHING.

The right attacks education for the same reason Frederick Douglass’s former enslaver said his learning to read “ruined him!”

But don’t call them a cult.

They get genuinely offended when you say that.

They use racist epithets, berating Asians,

Thinking that they did a mic drop on TikTok.

(They haven’t caught up to the irony of that yet.)

At Ol Miss, they make chimpanzee sounds in counterprotest to Palestinian students.

But don’t call them racists, and don’t call them a cult.

Fascists have feelings too, you know.

They are the shock troopers of wealthy marionettes,

Who manipulated their forefathers with pamphlets,

Gaslighting southern men to go off and fight for plantation oligarchs to own the enslaved labor of kidnapped Africans,

On land stolen by their fathers from Native Americans,

None of the poor fools would have the money to own real estate or humans.

Neither they nor the formerly enslaved would receive reparations.

Plantation oligarchs, however, did!

“Shell shock” and missing limbs were their only wages.

And, as a “booby prize”: the battle flag of Robert E. Lee’s North Virginia Regiment,

They continually misidentify as representing the ENTIRE Confederacy!

Read a book on actual history.

Now, their largesse lives on in the libertarian refrains: “state’s rights” (to own the enslaved), tax cuts, and my favorite: “family values” that they have never displayed.

“First, they fascinate the fools. Then, they muzzle the intelligent.”

He said he could “shoot someone on Fifth Avenue” and get away with it.

He said he “loves the poorly educated.”

Daily Kos said, “Nothing says ‘presidential ambitions’ like hush money schemes and secret recordings.”

They made a graven, golden, sandaled image of him in Florida,

Some kneeling to worship it,

But,

Please don’t make the Adult Depends-wearing people upset by calling them what they obviously are:

A cult. And a heavily armed one at that!

Jacob: etymology, Hebrew, “supplanter,” which is often interpreted as someone who seizes, circumvents, or usurps.

The “Sons of Jacob” in “The Handmaid’s Tale”

Slaughtered their fictional versions of the Congress and the Supreme Court,

(Looking at you, Sam Alito!)

Usurpers and supplanters,

Looking like rabid cultists,

Who had LOST in their fictional world “a free and fair election,”

But what would it matter if they could match arsenals with the police and the military?

But what would it matter if elements of the police and the military JOINED them?

“Under his eye” becomes a possibility.

Now,

The polls are all over the place.

The only thing that matters now is that we #VOTE and volunteer for local campaigns if you can.

Phone bank,

When going to doors, knock carefully,

Work at polling stations,

The only way the fascists will win is if they cow us by fear into submission.

The Koch brothers and other oligarchs are interested enough,

To fund astroturf candidates who will guarantee them forever tax cuts.

To send armed mobs into school board elections,

Just like their fathers did the mob to crack down on unions.

Shakespeare said: “What’s past is prologue.”

Because the original philosophy of “Plato’s Republic” was not ruled by a people’s plurality,

But rule by an aristocracy,

It was a stratified society consisting of the ruling class, which had gold; the merchant class, which had silver; and the rest, which had brass.

The gold hoarders empower themselves to tell the “Noble Lie,”

A national myth promulgated by an elite to “maintain social harmony,”

A term called “pseudos” by Socrates,

Because, as far as truth,

Jack Nicholson said in “A Few Good Men” that the people “can’t handle it.”

This gaslighted pandering was.

Raised to Olympic levels when the Washington Post tabulated over 30,000 ignoble lies BEFORE the pandemic!

I will continue to repeat:

We’re fighting for democracy because we haven’t achieved it yet.

We’re currently participants in our own gaslighting,

Which dumbed down civics to “social studies,”

And history to standardized testing!

“We The People” must fight for reproductive democracy,

“We The People” must fight for representative democracy.

“We The People” must vote in numbers so large that they cannot manipulate the outcomes,

Or tell us ignoble lies that won’t satiate,

A desire for fairness, justice, and equality,

Or, we will have remote-control fascism by American oligarchs like Harland Crow.

And cult shock troopers swaddled in Adult Depends, whose only wage and solace is,

They are making us miserable in the process.

Made popular by the ADP or the Adult Depends Posse!

It will be the equivalent of them outfitting their gas-guzzling trucks with smokestacks to “own the libs,”

These “stable geniuses” never realized they were on the same planet!

It will be the equivalent of them shooting themselves in the foot, looking at our horrified faces, and laughing!

I, for one, am voting to prevent this dystopian nightmare from happening.

Merrick Garland: Use the Insurrection Act to put these psychopaths in prison!

I end this piece by encouraging you to VOTE!

Four Questions Plus One...

Hundreds of UT Austin students and faculty gather on campus for pro-Palestine protest, Ren Leija, Senior News Reporter, The Daily Texan, April 24, 2024

Opinion: A new set of ‘Four Questions’ for anti-Israel protesters

by Congressman Steve Israel as reported by The Hill: https://thehill.com/opinion/international/4619331-a-new-set-of-four-questions-for-anti-israel-protestors/

(Summarized for brevity)

“Question 1: On Oct. 7, the terrorist group Hamas slaughtered young Israelis at a music festival as well as other civilians in surrounding communities. They murdered, stabbed, shot, raped, beheaded, burned. They forced children to watch the butchering of parents. They cut off women’s breasts, killed the defenseless elderly, abducted, and continued to hold innocent civilians hostage. Did you protest that massacre in the days, weeks, months after Oct. 7. At least once? Did you fly flags, wave banners, and demand justice?

“Question 2: In the ongoing civil war in Sudan, at least 13,000 to 15,000 people have been killed and 33,000 others injured. Over 6.5 million are internally displaced and more than 2 million others have fled the country as refugees. Here too, innocents have been beaten, burned, raped, tortured, murdered. Meanwhile, according to the human rights group Oxfam, Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine has killed more than 10,500 civilians, including 587 children, “as constant bombardments, mines, and drone attacks have left a generation traumatized, displaced, and fearful for their lives.” Have you protested the grotesque and persistent war crimes in Sudan or Ukraine? If not, why not? Why do civilians in Sudan or Sevastopol seem less important to you than in Gaza?

“Question 3: In Gaza, Hamas violated international law with a heinous military doctrine that forced its own innocent civilians to become Israeli military targets. It embedded weapons systems in hospitals, schools, and residential apartments. (Many foretold the strategy on day one: Hamas massacres Israelis, Israel responds by targeting Hamas weapons in civilian infrastructure, casualties skyrocket, the world turns on Israel, and the university protests ignite). Have you protested Hamas’s illegal tactics of deliberately putting innocents in harm’s way? Have you demanded boycotts, divestment, and sanctions for nations that fund, enable, and empower Hamas’s crimes against humanity?

“Question 4: You chant: “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.” In fact, the Hamas charter continues to insist that the geographic borders of Palestine extend “from the River Jordan in the east to the Mediterranean in the west and the north to the south,” i.e., the entirety of Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank. And while I’m asking — why is it that while I support a two-state solution in which Jews and Palestinians live with full rights, your chant seems to support the purging of one?

If not, why not? Why do you protest only Israel?

“Two-state solution is the only resolution.” Chant THAT!

My plus one:

Have you read “Perceptions of Palestine” by Kathleen Christison?

Who asked this insightful question: “If a broader frame of reference on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict had been employed, allowing a less warped public discourse, might not years of warfare have been avoided and steps toward peace achieved much earlier?”

Or did you read a post on the Internet and join a “flash mob” in response?

Or anything else other than your own curated news feeds?

This piece is not for getting me snaps.

It’s about encapsulating for you digestible facts.

Anger is a powerful emotion.

The adrenaline rush can be overwhelming.

Some researchers have suggested that it may [even] be an addiction.

Source: https://psychcentral.com/lib/is-anger-an-addiction

News outlets no longer have the independence of getting all the advertising dollars.

Investigative journalists are rare and have given way to valuing access.

Probing the powerful too much will get them dismissed.

Thus, the genesis of “softball” questioning.

The daily newspapers have been reduced to magazines.

The Yellow Pages can be ripped apart by prepubescent teens.

So, the only card the “fourth estate” must play is from the prescient movie “Network”:

“I’m mad as HELL, and I won’t take it anymore!”

They do it on your news feeds and your favorite network news channels,

Bonus Read:

“Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business,” by Dr. Neil Postman.

Your anger is managed and part of the programming.

Thus, we have the “warring factions” George Washington warned us about in his farewell address.

Nuance (noun): a slight difference in sound, feeling, meaning, or appearance. It's often used to describe the more delicate aspects of something, especially in language, writing, or interpretation.

I understand your passion.

You’re the generation that has had to endure the sadistic spectacle of endless school shootings.

You’ve had to endure endless RUN-HIDE-FIGHT drills and ZERO gun control legislation.

You had to endure “Zoom fatigue,” which wasn’t a THING before the pandemic.

By design, you’re strapped with debt before you graduate college, and people wonder why you’re not starting families or buying houses.

You’re watching a warning Earth, and it’s a coin flip between political parties on whether we’ll survive it.

But, as someone old enough to remember Kent State and A&T,

Seeing what is happening from Columbia, Emory, and UT,

Like many college campuses in the 1960s,

Protesting the Vietnam War vigorously,

The Civil Rights Movement, Star Trek, a Man on the Moon, and the “Dawn of the Age of Aquarius” were pregnant with possibilities.

Unfortunately,

It led to the election of Richard Milhous Nixon on a “law and order” ticket.

He did some GOOD things:

The EPA,

Enforcement of anti-discrimination laws against the father and son New York real estate developers refusing to rent to black residents (the son, astonishingly obtuse, would become president),

And he appointed one of the seven republican justices who voted FOR Roe vs. Wade in 1973.

Then:

He proceeded to break almost every law that then existed.

It led to the deaths of over 50,000 Americans and millions of Vietnamese citizens.

It led to the prolonged injuries and deaths of troops exposed to “Agent Orange.”

It led to the Watergate scandal and our current mistrust of government institutions.

It led to mostly black, white, Jewish, and Hispanic GIs coming home to be spat upon and called “baby killers.”

Because it’s easy to get behind any Pied Piper with a bullhorn or a podcast.

“TikTok” was never a part of the First Amendment,

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act needs to be amended.

So that Mark Zuckerberg and other tech moguls can stop wasting our time, “apologizing” and doing nothing.

Flash mobs don’t require much attention,

Or thinking about the consequences,

Adrenaline, like any drug, is a hell of a fix.

It’s not easy, I realize, to consider the nuances of a situation.

Your satisfaction with pimp slapping “the system” might lead you to the election of a narcissistic psychopath bent on “retribution” who will have the nuclear codes.

He tried to nuke a hurricane, oblivious to the consequences.

His solution to fires due to climate change was to “rake the forests.”

He told us to inject bleach,

Shine lights up our rectums,

And ingest the horse dewormers Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin.

He killed over a million citizens during a pandemic.

He’s bent on retribution and imprisoning anyone who goes against him.

“Are you better off now than you were four years ago?”

Hell yeah, pilgrim!

“Two-state solution is the only resolution.”

Or the sixth mass extinction WILL be the “final solution!”

This election isn’t about Democrats vs Republicans.

This election is about whether we’ll ever have another one.

This election is about whether women are citizens or state-owned broodmare cattle.

This election is about if the government goes “1984” and invades our bedrooms.

This election is about Democracy vs Fascism.

This election is about empathy vs cruelty.

This election is about survival vs extinction.

There is “world peace” on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (maybe a planet) because there are no HUMANS on them!

As Earth once was, “peaceful” without us.

And,

After Armageddon, any argument you tried to make about the “lesser of two evils” will be [horribly] irrelevant.

There will be no Palestinians, Israelis, or humans left to lament.

Confession...

© April 15, 2024, the Griot Poet

Source: https://www.britannica.com/technology/thermonuclear-bomb

September 15, 2001, was a Saturday.

We were all still reeling from the attacks on the Twin Towers that no longer existed,

The Pentagon had a sizable hole in it,

Every news outlet had “theme music,”

As pundits pontificated about Flight 93’s purpose when some “Let’s Roll” brave souls scuttled it.

“Pop, isn’t that where you went to school?”

My youngest son said it.

His older brother was at Prairie View, trying to figure it out.

We were in H-E-B getting groceries,

Before me, on the shelf,

On the top fold of the Austin American Statesman,

There was a photo of Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, my classmate.

Under the caption of his photo was where he went to pursue his Mechanical Engineering degree:

North Carolina A&T State University.

The largest HBCU in the country and our Alma Mater.

Khalid and I were STEM majors,

He was in Mechanical Engineering, I was in Engineering Physics,

I was in my senior year, and he was a transfer student.

[And] we were taking a graduate-level course in Nuclear Physics.

The course was taught by Dr. Amin Haque (may he rest in peace),

Who explained that the reason why we were taking this upper-division course was to ensure the country had enough STEM students to manufacture thermonuclear weapons in case of a war with Russia.

“Who would SURVIVE a first exchange to manufacture ANYTHING?” I thought.

I kept my concerns mum.

I have since realized that the government used a competitive, captive audience of STEM students working on the same issue across the country, HBCUs, and PWIs, a youthful “think tank” with no salary.

Khalid and I were as different as two people could be,

He was a child of wealth; I was born into designed poverty.

He drove a Porch; I drove a Chevy.

He wore Birkenstock; I wore sneakers.

It wouldn't be an understatement to say that we said two words to each other throughout the semester.

We were both trying to graduate.

We both learned the intricacies of fission reactions,

Chain reactions are like billiard balls,

That fact was the basis for the Manhattan Project.

A fusion reaction requires enough force to push hydrogen atoms with the same positive charge into each other.

How would you do that, you wonder?

A mechanical disturbance causes the fission reaction,

Uranium 235 is the element,

That can happen in a laboratory or in a reactor.

The Hydrogen Bomb is a step above the ones,

Dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki,

The fissile material is caged around a Nickel Cadmium core of Plutonium 239,

The explosions must be simultaneous,

For the fission chain reaction to compress the atoms in the Nickel Cadmium core,

A description I recognized reading the Tom Clancy novel, “The Sum of All Fears.”

"600 megatons of TNT,"

"Concussive shockwaves at supersonic speeds,"

Enough to flatten any municipalities,

Capable of murdering populations by the millions,

And the radiation: Plutonium-239 has a half-life of 24,100 years.

And my senior project improved this killing machine by eleven percent.

Source: https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/fact-sheets/plutonium.html

Khalid, my colleagues, and I were mastering the intricacies of Doomsday Devices.

Tearfully, I recounted the Vedic scripture,

J. Robert Oppenheimer quoted at the first test explosion:

“If the radiance of a thousand suns

Were to burst at once into the sky.

That would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...

(Now)

I [am] become Death,

The destroyer of worlds.”

I wept then for the children who hadn’t been born yet.

“Pop, isn’t that where you went to school?”

Yes, it was.

I was snapped back in the present, then September 15, 2001.

Still reeling from the attacks on 9/11,

And this was the face of my classmate, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad,

Number three in Al Qaeda,

And I was dumbstruck in H-E-B.

I had to move along because someone behind me insisted on getting on with their shopping day.

I realized that for Khalid,

Everything he needed to accomplish his dark deed was public knowledge,

Figuring out how to burn down buildings was a mechanical engineering problem.

Not nearly as intricate as it was to build a thermonuclear device.

I recall getting an “A” in the course and for my senior project.

I assume Khalid did as well; he seemed intelligent.

Our paths diverged after graduation:

I took an oath to defend my nation,

Khalid joined Osama Bin Laden in the CIA-backed Mujahideen,

Encouraged by President Carter and National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Defending Afghanistan from Soviet invasion,

In what would soon become the textbook definition of blowback.

I stared at a familiar face.

I connected with him over the time and space of memories.

We were both in the same class in Nuclear Physics.

Like most upper-division majors, we were both just trying to graduate.

I was a pauper, and he was a prince.

We’re about the same age.

Khalid, my classmate, is in Guantanamo Bay.

My penance is Environmental Engineering.

After military communications and the semiconductor industry,

Using my STEM knowledge to make the world better for humanity,

And my family,

But for a moment in Greensboro, North Carolina,

Khalid and I were studying earnestly how to build Doomsday Devices.

Split Screen...

Was OJ Simpson's arrest and trial the beginning of reality TV - and Donald Trump's rise? Nick Bryant, BBC News, New York

 © April 12, 2024, the Griot Poet

I saw the Bronco Chase,

June 17, 1994,

We all watched it like a dark, communal ritual,

The eclipse of our innocence.

The slow meander on the California interstate,

I was witnessing the birth of sensationalism and spectacle.

I witnessed the rift between black and white citizens and how they would perceive the trial proceedings.

The trial lasted a year.

It was the “trial of the century.”

A “made for TV” drama.

This was the prototype for Court TV, “reality TV,” and streaming services.

We’re not quite processing how sociopathic this made our society.

My Frat brother, Johnny Cochran, was the lead attorney,

And on his team, a name that would go down in infamy: Robert Kardashian,

As his widow and his daughters would make a billion-dollar empire,

On the Shakespearean equivalent of “Much Ado About Nothing.”

Contributing to the public disdain for being an expert at anything,

“Cosmos” by Carl Sagan lasted three years.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” has droned on for two decades.

Why learn a profession where eyeballs can make you billions?

It’s a strange way to remember the patriarch of their family.

It's ironic because Robert Kardashian was an excellent lawyer.

It's ironic because Robert Kardashian was part of what was dubbed “The Dream Team.”

Because of Detective Mark Fuhrman,

And the racial epithet he casually used,

Television censors were on point then,

And the “n-word” entered our lexicon.

Orenthal James Simpson,

He was the first post-Civil Rights sports superstar.

He made it a part of his persona to ignore its significance.

He was "respectability politics" before the term came into existence.

He wasn’t as militant as Cassius Clay cum Muhammad Ali,

Or Lou Alcindor cum Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

He reduced his moniker to “just OJ.”

From unusual names to two letters.

He proved himself to be a marketing genius.

He advertised Hertz Rent-A-Car.

Running through the kiosks,

So, he naturally had a part in Alex Haley’s semi-plagiarized autobiography, “Roots,” the original seven-part series,

When we thought, then, finally, there might be recognition and reconciliation before reparations.

That, of course, passed.

He was an actor, to boot.

He is as recognizable in “The Naked Gun” series as the star, Leslie Nielsen.

He was a guest on variety shows and celebrity interviews.

He dated Nicole Brown when she was barely legal.

Despite being the mother of his second marriage’s children, he was jealous of her beauty.

One domestic violence call to 911 found her with an imprint of his hand on her face.

The police shrugged and left.

I wept at the verdict.

Because I saw the eyes of so-called “white” people roll so hard to see their brain stems.

Because I saw so-called “black” people cheer, not that “The Juice” got away with murder but for my Frat brother, Johnny Cochran.

It was the fact that OJ could pay for expert lawyering, which many of us could not possibly afford.

Most of us go into the jaws of the beast,

Each time we go into the criminal “justice” system,

The Central Park 5 were almost railroaded into the electric chair by a full-page ad in the New York Times,

Exonerated by DNA evidence,

And the real predator confessing,

Kalief Browder, however, was mauled by the beast, committing suicide after three years of confinement without a “speedy trial” in sight.

He was framed for stealing a backpack that he didn’t steal.

Because we so-called “black” people have always known:

The system is broken.

It was always rigged against us and for the so-called “white” and privileged.

1681,” the Bacon Rebellion, is when they invented a lie to divide us.

We have been waiting:

Since Crispus Attucks in 1776,

Since Medgar Evers in 1963,

Since Malcolm X in 1965,

Since Martin Luther King in 1968,

Since Rodney King in 1991,

After OJ in 1994 drove a Bronco in slow-mo.

Maybe,

After the slow white Bronco “chase,”

After an acquittal, that just didn’t seem right,

When he got sentenced for civil liability, you cheered just like you did when he was on the gridiron.

Did you cheer when the token respectability “golden boy” got off scot-free?

Dying after prostate cancer isn’t exactly dying peacefully,

But he did die, surrounded by family.

We thought:

Maybe you could finally see how a system rigged by rich people,

It might blow back in your collective faces.

But you didn’t.

And here we are,

Waiting for another rich celebrity to game a broken system on a “Stormy” Monday.

A former president goes on trial,

For hiding his secret affairs with an adult film actress and a playboy centerfold.

It wasn’t “hush money”: it was FEC violations, denying American citizens the RIGHT to know what character the man who arranged the scheme had who was RUNNING for president AFTER the Access Hollywood tape!

“Absolute immunity” is absolute nonsense.

But I expect that from a criminal whose only time he is not committing crimes is the few hours he’s sleeping.

Fingers crossed, on “Stormy Monday,” for justice.

Didn't Earn It...

© March 27, 2024, the Griot Poet

Quoting Qasim Rashid, Esquire:

“MAGAs are labeling DEI as “didn’t earn it,”

“Which is wild, because, in reality,

“Generating historic wealth through two billion acres of stolen land from Native Americans,

“Enslaving black people for 300 years,

“Banning Asian immigration until 1965,

“And banning women from financial access until 1974,

“All without paying a single red cent in reparations or restitution,

“Is the living, breathing example of ‘not earning it!’”

Qasim Rashid gave us the codex.

This cryptography doesn’t even require a degree in hieroglyphics.

All of this has always been gaslighting.

Because painting reparations as only going to black people hides the crux of the problem.

You gave George Takei, Mr. Sulu of “Star Trek,” and Japanese Americans compensation for illegal internment.

You now allow Asian immigrants to go to universities and top STEM positions.

You need to give reparations to the once-enslaved people’s descendants.

You need to give the land back to Native Americans.

You need to give bodily autonomy BACK to women.

If you’re familiar with knitting,

Pulling out one strand can unravel the fabric pattern.

The entire system is corrupted bullshit.

The prohibition against the enslaved reading George Washington (yeah, THAT one) was enacted right after the Haitian Revolution.

Kicking out your French weapons suppliers probably caused consternation at the constitutional convention.

You couldn’t maintain an economy based on free labor when the enslaved realize that they don’t have to put up with it.

Why are they always opposed to raising the minimum wage?

It’s the same reason why they’re banning books!

Scientia potentia est: “Knowledge is power.”

And the self-assigned royalty doesn’t want you to have any.

George Orwell said: “War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.”

“1984” was the transposition of the last two numbers in 1948.

It was never a year; it was a mental state.

It was a warning for future generations to avoid the allure of totalitarianism and fascism.

Fascism is for lazy people.

Such people are prone to conspiracy theories.

A massive cargo ship unexpectedly

Lost power,

A Mayday went out,

Ninety seconds is all the time they had to shut the bridge down from drivers crossing,

Thanks to sailors from India, there could have been more casualties.

The Dali is a Singaporean ship, 948 feet long, weighing 95,000 gross tons or 213 million pounds.

Plowed into the bridge support structure at nine miles per hour,

That’s enough mass and momentum to cause a disaster.

But,

The Francis Scott Key Bridge was brought down by,

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion,”

A euphemism like “let’s go Brandon.”

Baltimore’s Mayor, Brandon Scott, is black,

Maryland’s Governor, Wes Moore, is black,

The Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, is gay, married, with adopted fraternal twins.

DEI did it,

Or,

You’re just racist, homophobic idiots.

It has to be:

“Open borders,”

The Texas-Mexico Border is 1,392 miles from Maryland.

The immigrants from Central America and Mexico worked in the middle of the night, filling potholes and doing jobs most Americans won't do!

If “DEI” to MAGA means “didn’t earn it,”

How did it knock down a bridge?

Ahem: That’s because it’s called an accident.

The laws of physics don’t bend to your conspiracy theories.

Species survival has little to do with billionaires funding space exploration but [mutual] cooperation.

Never mind trying to find other planets when you can’t work out your differences on this one!

D-E-I-A means “diversity, equity, inclusion, AND accessibility!”

Because,

We want to include our sisters and brothers with disabilities.

Transpose the “I” forward, and you get the “IDEA.”

Because inclusion is the lynchpin,

You can’t invent a warp drive until you understand this.

I get that DEIA might be too triggering.

It’s been around since humans.

It’s an idea more ancient than writing.

It has two simpler words describing it: fairness and sharing.

This is something billionaires have a considerable problem with.

The banana meme says:

“If a monkey hoarded more bananas than it could eat, while most of the other monkeys starved, scientists would study that monkey to find out what the heck is WRONG with it.

“When humans do it, we put them on the cover of Forbes.”

Source: @welcomewords

Fairness and sharing,

The former words are anathema to ayatollahs, billionaires, emperors and empresses, kings, Grand Pooh-Bahs, oligarchs, popes, potentates, presidents, prime ministers, queens, sheiks, in comparison to the 99% rest of us,

Trying to live out our lives in relative peace and comfort.

Question: Who are the actual people who “didn’t earn it?”

Answer: The one percent.

And we,

Who built this country,

Every ethnicity, every religion, every nationality, every sexual orientation,

We, who have the votes to choose David Hogg’s “leaders we deserve” and change the narrative, the nation, and the world:

“We The People,” not “Citizens United,” deserve it!

Because,

“We The People,” not “Citizens United,” EARNED IT!

VOTE!
