Axis of Idiots...

According to Google Generative AI, the word “axis” has multiple definitions:

“An imaginary line that an object spins around.”

In geometry:

“An imaginary line around which an object is symmetrically arranged.”

An axis can also refer to:

“A real or imaginary straight line going through the center of an object spinning.”

To pair “axis” with “idiots” must be the best self-own of the millennium.

The November 7, 2023, off-year elections were courtesy of Supreme Court Justices Alito, Barrett, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Chief Roberts, and Thomas,

Six who lied in their confirmation hearings that previous decisions were Stare decisis – Latin for “precedent.”

As in previous decisions by the court, they had already been settled, and they guaranteed that they would not overturn any out of respect.

New flash: they didn’t.

The fact that Ohio voters enshrined reproductive rights in their state Constitution means, like Kentucky previously, republicans crossed over to vote for it.

Andy Beshear won re-election in a state the twice-impeached, 91-count indicted, responsible for one million Americans dying during the pandemic won by 26 points in the last election,

The one he lost, knew he lost, and still denies it.

According to Google Generative AI, the term “idiot” has multiple definitions:

“A person with subnormal intelligence.”

“A foolish or senseless person.”

“A person with a severe learning disability.”

“A very foolish or stupid person.”

“A person of profound mental impedance having a mental age below three years.”

“Synonyms of ‘idiot’ include Changeling, Cretin, Half-wit, Imbecile, Moron.”

The last description, "moron," the previous Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, related with a colorful adjective metaphor.

Medias Touch title piece:

“Trump Blames ‘Axis of Idiots’ (DeSantis, McConnell, Youngkin, Kemp) for Electoral ‘Shellacking.’”

Did I mention his endorsed candidate in Kentucky, Attorney General Daniel Cameron, LOST to Governor-Elect Andy Beshear?

It didn’t help that he covered for the police in the summary execution of Breonna Taylor,

Making Daniel Cameron perpetually NOT invited to family barbeques, Sunday dinners, or family reunions!

Dumbo Gambino re-fake-tweeted the article “Axis of Idiots” by the right-wing hacks in the National Pulse,

Because Baby Huey was having “the sads,” and he needed a pick-me-up.

He signaled his cult to attack Younkin, whom he endorsed in 2018.

He endorsed DeSantis and Kemp, who couldn’t help him find 11,780 votes in Georgia.

Thanks to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, we’ve got him recorded.

And so does DA Fani Willis.

Both handily won re-election without the “Big Lie” (and I was rooting for Stacey Abrams).

McConnell helped him pass tax cuts that put the United States trillions of dollars in debt.

For tax cuts for the 1% such that “trickle down” is their urine flowing on everyone else.

Meanwhile, there’s a fourth Republican debate in December.

Did anyone pay attention to the first three? Anyone remember?

You cannot run against the frontrunner unless you’re willing to call out his bullshit!

Meanwhile, there’s probably going to be a government shutdown because if you don’t know how to run an economy, your next option is to wreck it!

A book assignment from the late NYU Journalism Professor Neil Postman: “Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Showbusiness.”

The book was published in 1985 after the advent of CNN on June 1, 1980.

There was no Internet, blogs, email, message boards, or podcasts.

Ted Turner wanted the “HBO of news” to go from dry facts to entertainment.

It was an election year, and we got a B-Movie actor as president.

Who, through his former CIA Director running mate, may have held the hostages in Iran to defeat the Democratic incumbent,

Who was talking about climate change before it became popular,

After the 1980 election, the new president removed the solar panels from the White House.

His party (and some Democrats) has been in the pocket of Big Oil ever since.

Because humans are more concerned with short-term profits than the collective survival of the species and life on the planet!

2016 was the last time the "gang of Putin" bothered writing and publishing a platform.

McConnell wouldn’t commit to a position before the 2022 midterms: “wait until after the elections.”

It’s been a natural evolution from a B-Movie actor to a reality show huckster in a party that doesn’t take governing or compromise seriously.

If you want to have some fun,

Look at Bon Pote’s 2019 post “Five Basic Laws of Stupidity,” the last being the most chilling: “A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.”

And some want to give the stupidest man among us the nuclear codes again (and I’m sure next time, he WILL nuke a hurricane, and democracy with it!).

The man blaming an "axis of idiots" for his electoral defeats won't admit he's the throughline for it!
